What is a Community Group?
What does a community group look like?
- A place to discover authentic Christianity
- A place to find people who are devoted to God
- A place to find people earnestly desiring to be obedient worshippers in all areas of life
- A place where we disciple one another
- A place wher we acknowledge that we are strugglers and we lock arms to journey toward God together
- A place where we look for what is right with one another
- A place where grace is realized and mercy is abundant
- A place where we intentionally allow other to know us
- A place where we welcome other through service together
Serving as a Community Group
Community Groups engage in two unique activities:
First, community groups keep in contact, follow and learn from the lives of a missionary couple. The goal is to encourage a particular missionary as well as to learn how to be missionaries ourselves.
Second, community groups serve together. Each group prays about where and how God can use them together to meet a need in the Kalamazoo community. Six to eight times instead of meeting as a group for Bible study the group serves in the community together.
In both of these ways, Community Groups learn how to live out the Biblical story together.
